Bellingham's Paul signs to play for Western Washington


Jenn Paul, a senior at Bellingham High School, has signed at national letter of intent to play women's golf at Western Washington University, beginning the fall of 2014.

Paul has placed among the top five at the Class 2A state tournament in each of her first three years as a Red Raider, leading BHS to state titles each season. She finished fourth last spring, fourth in 2012 and fifth in 2011.

Paul was the Northwest Conference MVP as a junior, averaging 76.3 strokes per round. She won the league title that year after placing second as a freshman and sophomore. Paul also was second at the WIAA 2A District 1 Tournament each of those years.

Last summer, Paul placed 12th at the Women's Junior Golf Association State Championship after winning a WJGA district and two sub-district tourneys. She finished 12th at the Junior World Qualifier.
