Lummi's Class 1B semifinal to be televised

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDNovember 26, 2013

Start time for the Lummi football team's Class 1B state semifinal against Neah Bay has been pushed back a half hour to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at the Tacoma Dome so that the game can be televised on ROOT Sports.

Coach Jim Sandusky said he believes it is the first time the Blackhawks have had a game televised.

The game is one of four state semifinals from the Tacoma Dome scheduled to be televised this weekend, joining the Class 3A semifinal between Eastside Catholic and O'Dea at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, the Class 2B semifinal between Raymond and Morton/White Pass at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, and the Class 4A semifinal between Bellarmine Prep and Camas at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Lynden and Mount Baker are also playing in semifinals at 1 p.m. on Saturday but not scheduled for television. The Lions will face Ellensburg at Moses Lake in the Class 2A semifinals, while Mount Baker will take on Cascade Christian at the Tacoma Dome in the Class 1A semifinals.
