Rave: Shopper offers 'thank you' for return of wallet

November 22, 2013

May I use your newspaper to say a big “thank you” to the anonymous and very honest woman who discovered my wallet, which I accidentally left in a shopping cart in a Fred Myers parking lot on Nov. 17.

Also, much appreciation to Roger Funk of the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office who took the trouble to phone my family in Vancouver, B.C., to track down my licence plate number so he could find me in the parking lot when I had returned in search of my missing lifeline.

All of this was done in a friendly, professional manner and was greatly appreciated by a Canadian citizen and part-time Whatcom resident.
