Sehome hitter named to All-State Tournament team



Sehome senior Taylor Lyall was selected to the Class 2A All-State Tournament team as a hitter by the media on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Lyall helped the Mariners advance to the state semifinals and place fourth.

Burlington-Edison senior Maggie McTaggart, who helped the Tigers claim the 2A state title, was selected the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. She was joined on the first team by teammates Alyssa Terwilliger (hitter), Sam Alumbres (setter) and Alana Handy (libero).

Also selected to the first team were Capital hitter Rachel Erickson, Yakima West Valley hitter Bridgette Webb, Colville hitter Aubrey Buckner and Capital setter Sam Yorke.
