THE BELLINGHAM HERALDNovember 16, 2013

FERNDALE - Legoe Avenue and part of Washington Street will be closed for roadwork for up to four weeks starting Monday, Nov. 18.

Crews will resurface the Legoe-Washington intersection and add lighting and a path. The work, to be done by Tiger Construction of Everson, should be done within a budget of $94,000.

The work is a temporary fix to a badly failing section of road, according to the city's project webpage at cityofferndale.org/projects.php.

The road is closed to through traffic, with local access permitted 24 hours a day. The duration of the project depends on weather.
