The Tribute Jazz Series presents swingin' trombonist Steve Davis at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Firehouse Performing Arts Center, 1314 Harris Ave.

A member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, Davis is one of the jazz musicians most in demand trombone players. Joining him for a night of swinging hard bop will be Vancouver B.C.'s Cory Weeds on tenor sax, Miles Black on piano, Seattle's Chuck Kislter and Bellingham's Julian MacDonough on drums. Tickets: $10 at the door.
