Lummi moves tri-district playoff to Friday; Blaine finalizes time, location for first round

The Lummi football team's Class 1B Tri-District Playoff game against Taholah has been shifted forward nearly 24 hours and will now be played at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, at Lummi Nation School.

The winner of Friday's game will receive the tri-district's No. 2 seed and will travel to face the Southwest District No. 1 seed in the first round of the Class 1B State Playoffs on Nov. 15 or 16. That seed will be either Lopez or Wishkah, which play on Saturday, Nov. 16, in Aberdeen.

The Blackhawks are attempting to advance to the state playoffs for the 10th straight year.

Blaine, meanwhile, finalized game details for its Class 1A State Playoff game against La Center. The Borderites will head south for a 3 p.m. game on Saturday to be played at Ridgefield High School.
