Golfer hits hole-in-one at Bellingham course

Marcos Lopez nailed a hole-in-one on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club. Lopez aced the No. 18 hole with his 5-wood at 190 yards.

WSU to host baseball camp in Mount Vernon

Washington State University's baseball team will hold a baseball camp for 8- to 18-year-olds on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Skagit Valley College. The camp will run from 2-6 p.m.

For the $75 registration fee, camp attendees will receive instruction for their age level, offseason drills and conditioning, a NIKE T-shirt, and the chance to showcase their skills.

WWU alumnus wins Strongman Competition

Western Washington University alumnus Patrick Castelli won the 175-pound division of the National Strongman Competition in October in Denison, Texas. With the win, Castelli qualified for the Arnold Ameateur World Strongman Championships in March 2014, in Ohio.
