Free talk in Bellingham focuses on caregiving and depression


BELLINGHAM - A free presentation titled "Caregiving and Depression - Doing the Best You Can" is set for 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Adult Day Health Center, 809 E. Chestnut St.

It is open to the public.

Catherine Strong, a licensed psychologist in private practice since 1983, will give the talk. She has worked as a geriatric specialist in a community mental health clinic.

Her discussion will touch on depression among caregivers and what helps caregivers who are depressed or overwhelmed.

The Bellingham event is the next installment in the lecture series "Facing the Challenges of Aging," offered by the Adult Day Health Center at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.

Because of space limitations, people must register for the talk by Tuesday, Nov. 19.
