Lynden Rodeo to become part of fair week

LYNDEN - The Lynden Rodeo, which has been held the weekend after the Northwest Washington Fair for the last several years, will be incorporated into the fair starting next year.

After a strong start in 2005, rodeo attendance has tapered off, making the event no longer financially sustainable, according to the Northwest Washington Fair's board of directors.

The rodeo, a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association event, will happen on the last two nights of the fair, Aug. 15 and 16.
