Says people don't understand GMO

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDNovember 1, 2013

The thing that bothers me most about the genetically modified organism labeling campaign is what I believe to be the lack of education.

We already label foods, organic and non-GMO, I don't understand why we need to switch the labeling?

I feel the vast majority of the public doesn't understand what GMOs are. I am still learning.

GMOs are not only used by Monsanto. They are also used to better our food supply. I have a very prominent wine maker friend from Napa Valley in California that has explained how they are used in the wine making process; not a bad thing.

I am urging people to not make knee-jerk reactions to all the ad campaigns, pro or con, and do your homework. Don't be a lemming.
