Supports Luke for County Council

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDOctober 31, 2013

Whatcom County needs determined leaders who will hold fast to our priorities even under tough stress and pressure. I believe County Council candidate Michelle Luke is such a leader. Our county government faces difficult challenges in the near future. A small businesswoman since the age of 24, Michelle Luke knows how to find correct solutions. As chair of the Whatcom County Planning Commission, Michelle knows the importance of stable infrastructure and high quality water for our county.

Over the next decade, a projected 800,000 new residents will relocate to our state, we must grow for the future; we require an experienced leader to capture that future. As a Whatcom County Council member, Michelle Luke will work with her fellow councilors to build consensus leadership and make the tough decisions to move our county forward. Special interests in Olympia and Washington, D.C. cannot fix our problems, but we can!

One reason that Michelle Luke is running is to represent you and me. She knows that government does not create jobs and opportunity - inspirited individuals do. I believe the proper choice for our children and their future is Michelle Luke.
