Anacortes gave Squalicum volleyball all they could handle, but the Storm pulled off the 25-14, 32-30, 25-23 win on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Anacortes High School.
"(In the second and third sets) Anacortes really started swinging at the ball a little bit more and putting some more balls in play," Squalicum coach Laurie Quigley said in a phone interview. "But we pulled it out when it was important."
Ilea Dibble had nine kills and three blocks for the Storm, who finish the season 8-6 overall, 7-5 in the Northwest Conference.
"Ilea Dibble played the best game I've seen her play," Quigley said. "She was really consistent for us all night, and put the ball down when we needed it."
Squalicum locked up third place in the NWC with the win and will play Lakewood High School at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at home.
