Questions reasons for not labeling food

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDOctober 29, 2013

Why are giant multinational corporations like Monsanto (for an eye opener, check this company out on the internet) spending millions in our state to defeat Initiative 522? Is it because they truly care about the well being of the citizens of this state, or are they really interested in their profits? I believe the ads on TV against this initiative are meant to frighten you. Investigate the issue.

If people want to buy genetically modified foods, fine -- nothing is stopping them. But everyone should have the right to know what is in the foods they are feeding their children. I used to think there was nothing wrong with genetically modified foods; now I have seen too much evidence to the contrary.

Are you comfortable buying food on which the labels listing the ingredients state, "none of your business"?
