Blaine volleyball fell to undefeated Burlington-Edison 25-9, 25-13, 25-15 on Monday, Oct. 28, at Burlington-Edison.
"(In the third set) our communication on serve-receive was much better, we played more cohesive as a team and made some adjustments on blocking," Blaine coach Bryan Clausen said in a phone interview. "We really blocked well in the third game and frustrated Burlington-Edison."
Mikayla Deming had six blocks and Lexi Greguski added 11 digs for the Borderites.
"We played great that third game; I think they were intimidated the first two games by playing the number one team in the state, but after a couple blocks they figured out that they can play with Burlington-Edison," Clausen added.
Blaine takes on King's in the Class 1A District Tournament at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at King's High School.
