Frost expected in Bellingham Monday night; bring in or cover plants

BELLINGHAM - A frost advisory has been issued for Monday night, Oct. 28, meaning people need to bring in or cover plants that could die in freezing temperatures.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory Monday, warning of frost in western Whatcom County as early as 11 p.m. Temperatures are expected to be right around freezing and could dip into the 20s in some areas.

Some areas of Whatcom County already have had overnight freezes, but this would be the first one this fall in Bellingham.
