Seahawks get up big early, cruise past Red Raiders 43-12


The Bellingham football team fell to Anacortes 43-12 on Friday, Oct. 25, at Anacortes in a Class 2A Northwest Conference matchup.

The Seahawks opened up by scoring 43 unanswered points in the first half, but the Red Raiders came back in the second and held them scoreless.

"We made some adjustments," Bellingham coach Steve Wilson said in a phone interview. "They were gashing us up the middle (early)."

Tanner Allif scored Bellingham's first points after returning the opening kickoff in the second half for a touchdown. Eric Thomspon later connected with Tristan Hurley for a 40-yard score to round out the Red Raiders' scoring night.
