Federal dollars available for Whatcom County food and shelter programs

BELLINGHAM - Providers of emergency food and shelter in Whatcom County can apply for federal funds for their programs.

Public or private organizations interested in applying for money must attend a technical assistance meeting at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the YWCA, 1026 N. Forest St., Bellingham.

The deadline to apply for the federal money is Nov. 13. People can register for the meeting by calling United Way of Whatcom County, 360-733-8670.
