Gillman, McNabb propel Red Raiders past Tigers


The Bellingham girls' swim team defeated Burlington-Edison 126-43 on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Fidalgo Pool.

Maddie Gillman won two individual races - the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle - while also being a part of the 200 medley and 200 freestyle winning relay teams.

Anna McNabb also had a strong meet for the Red Raiders, winning the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle individual races.

"I would give Anna McNabb swimmer of the meet," Bellingham coach Jeff Anderson said in a phone interview. "She improved seven seconds in the 200 IM."

She also participated in the winning 400 freestyle relay team.

Yvonne DuBois, Ellie Kindlund and Margo Lewis all won two races as well.
