North scores twice in Bellingham's 9-2 win over Nooksack Valley

The Bellingham girls' soccer team defeated Nooksack Valley 9-2 on Thursday, Oct. 24, in a Northwest Conference matchup at Northwest Fields.

Cashel Vincent got the Red Raiders' scoring efforts off to a quick start with a goal in the fourth minute from a Mary Dyrland assist. Dyrland added a goal three minutes later, followed then by back-to-back goals by Hattie North.

"Hattie North has been working her butt off all year," Bellingham coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. "She is really one of our best players."

Vincent recorded another goal, and North added an assist as Bellingham cruised to the win.

Nooksack Valley's goals came from Tori VandeHoef and Jasmin Zavala.
