Seattle Pacific volleyball beats WWU

Middle blocker Kayla Erickson had a career-high 23 kills and Kelsey Moore tied her career high with 16, but it was not enough as Western Washington University fell 27-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23, to Seattle Pacific University on Thursday in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball match at Sam Carver Gymnasium on the WWU campus.

The Vikings, ranked No. 8 in this week's Division II Top 25 Poll, fell to 14-3 overall and 7-2 in the GNAC play.

The loss was the second straight for WWU, which won 14 of its first 15 matches. The back-to-back home setbacks were the first since 1999 for the Vikings, who lost in five games to Alaska Anchorage last Saturday.
