Lynden's girls' swimming team defeated Ferndale 134-35, on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Lynden YMCA. The Lions' Jadyn Elias was a part of three winning relay teams and won the 50 freestyle in 28.73 seconds.
"That was her best time in the 50 freestyle," Lynden coach Linda Bode said in a phone interview. "She's working in general, working hard, and it's finally all coming together."
Sarah Hollander also had a strong meet for Lynden, winning the 500 freestyle (6:05.36), and helping the 200 medley relay (2:13.99) and 400 freestyle relay (4:34.36) to wins.
