Western Washington University freshman Chris Hatch shot a career-low 5-under par 67, finishing his round with a hole-in-one, as the Vikings completed the fall portion of their schedule by placing sixth at the Cal State University Monterey Bay Men's Golf Invitational which ended Tuesday at the 6,699-yard Black Horse Golf Club in Seaside, Calif.
Hatch aced the 194-yard 18th hole with a seven iron. It was his first hole in one.
Hatch's 67 was the low round of his career. It matched the best round of the tournament, teammate Mark Strickland shooting the same score during Monday's second round.
Hatch moved up 18 places to finish 12th with a 54-hole total of 219, and Strickland tied for 28th at 226 (85).
WWU fell three places to finish sixth in the 15-team field, shooting 307 for an 898 total.
