Backs Robbins, Bell for port

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDOctober 22, 2013

This is such a critical election for Bellingham port commissioners. We need candidates who can make tough business decisions regarding the Port of Bellingham's assets and to promote a business environment that provides family wage jobs in Whatcom County.

I was elected chairperson for the first Bellingham Waterfront Futures Task Force committee. This committee worked closely with the port commissioners and the Bellingham City Council. As chairperson on this committee I gained firsthand knowledge of the responsibilities and duties of our Bellingham port commissioners.

I, personally, know Ken Bell and Dan Robbins. They are both men of integrity and both have strong business backgrounds and would make excellent Bellingham port commissioners.

I encourage all Whatcom County voters to join with me, my family and friends in selecting both Ken Bell and Dan Robbins for Bellingham port commissioners.
