Lyncs sweep at home over Nooksack

Lynden Christian volleyball beat Nooksack Valley 25-17, 25-14, 25-22 on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Karley De Jager led the Lyncs on their home court with 10 kills. Madison Weg also added seven kills to go with two aces and 19 assists.

The Lynden Christian (8-1, NWC 7-1) middle blockers, Morgan Van Kooten and Hannah Wynstra, combined for 13 kills. Kara Bajema tallied 16 digs.

Nooksack Valley libero Mariah Perry recorded 21 digs and Linsey Hayes went home with seven kills.

Lynden Christian's only loss on the year came to No. 1-ranked Burlington.

"We are on a five-game win streak, and our girls keep working hard everyday in practice," LC coach Kim Grycel said in a phone interview.

Lynden Christian goes on the road next to play against Meridian at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22.
