Concerned moderates have lost GOP

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDOctober 20, 2013

I believe Republicans are attempting to hold an ad hoc election as they didn't like the results of the last one.

Democracy works like this: elections are held, a winner is declared, laws are passed, citizens accept the results, whether they are happy or not. Otherwise, we have "banana republics" with government by coup.

Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Eisenhower would not recognize their party of today. I believe extremists, backed by big self-interested donors, have taken over and are trying to overthrow the hated government.

I believe Republicans can't win fairly, so they resort to shutting down the government or using Jim Crow-like tactics to suppress votes. It's way past time for reasonable Republicans to take back their party.
