Weg, Lynden Christian volleyball take down Sedro-Woolley

Lynden Christian volleyball defeated Sedro-Woolley 25-18, 25-9, 25-17 on Thursday, Oct. 17, at home. The Lyncs were led by Madison Weg's 13 kills on 16 attempts.

"We were able to play a lot of different people," Lynden Christian coach Kim Grycel said in a phone interview. "When we passed the ball well we got kills, and when we didn't we made a few too many errors."

Weg also added nine digs for Lynden Christian. Morgan Van Kooten had five blocks for the Lyncs, and Ashley Miedema had four kills.

Lynden Christian's next match is at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at home against Nooksack Valley. If the Lyncs win on Saturday they will claim a no. 1 seed going into the postseason, Grycel said.
