Meridian volleyball gets shut out by Burlington-Edison

The Meridian volleyball team fell to Burlington-Edison 25-9, 25-9, 25-9 on Thursday, Oct. 17, at Meridian.

Despite the straight-set loss, Meridian coach Shannon Claeys was proud of her team for how it played at moments in the match.

"I think when we were in the right spots and stayed disciplined, we were successful," she said in a phone interview. "It just shows we need to stay disciplined in every match."

Allecia Galindo had seven digs and two serving aces for the Trojans.

Julia Brussard had two blocks that were pretty big.
