Outside hitter Kelsey Moore had a team-high 14 kills as nationally ranked Western Washington University swept University of Alaska Fairbanks, 25-15, 25-17, 25-14, on Thursday in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball match at Sam Carver Gymnasium on the WWU campus.
The Vikings, ranked No. 7 in the latest Division II Top 25 Poll, improved to 14-1 overall and 7-0 in the GNAC with their seventh straight win. All seven of their conference wins have been sweeps and they have 13 overall this season.
The Vikings trailed only once in any game, falling behind 2-1 in the third frame before going on a 6-1 run to take a 7-3 lead and later using a charge of six straight points to take complete control at 18-7.
