Voting to protect Whatcom farmland

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDOctober 17, 2013

Regarding the letter about a vote in the November election suggesting a vote against Kershner and Knutzen made me read inbetween the lines. Sure developing in this county may bring some extra jobs but I believe it will permanently destroy a lot of our farming community! The development brings more people and these people need jobs. Knutzen and Kershner are protecting our farmland and this is what I want. We don't need more people moving into our county and more of our land developed. The writer is concerned about our county being less attractive to entrepreneurs! Sometimes I wish we weren't so desirable to developers. As usual this letter is from a city person not caring about our farming community out in the county!
