Squalicum girls' soccer rolls to 7-0 win against Blaine


The Squalicum girls' soccer team scored three goals in the first 12 minutes and earned a 7-0 Northwest Conference win against Blaine on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Northwest Soccer Fields in Bellingham.

Seven different Storm players scored. Those include Kim Dorr, Michelle Saunders, Kim Hazlett, Brittany Peters, Rachel Dorr, Lizzy Herda and Jackie Dierdorff.

"It was nice," Squalicum coach David Kish said of the early lead in a phone interview. "Those goals were all scored because we passed the ball really well today."

Herda contributed two assists as did senior Gracie Slater.

Squalicum hosts Ferndale next at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Northwest Soccer Fields.
