Nooksack Valley volleyball falls to Burlington-Edison in straight sets


Nooksack Valley volleyball fell to Burlington-Edison 25-15, 25-12, 25-8 on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Burlington-Edison High School.

"Burlington-Edison is a really good team and we just didn't respond that well," Nooksack Valley coach Katie Emmons said in a phone interview. "We will be working on our serve-receives and on serving after watching that match. I thought our defense was disciplined, but we had a hard time finishing plays."

Burlington-Edison improves to 10-0 overall and 8-0 in Northwest Conference play. With the loss, Nooksack Valley falls to 5-4 overall and 4-3 in the NWC.

The Pioneers' next match is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Anacortes.
