Boundary Bay wins silver at beer festival

Posted on October 15, 2013

Boundary Bay Brewery was awarded a silver medal at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival Oct. 12-13.

The Bellingham brewery won for its “Old Bounder” Barley Wine-Style ale. More than 4,300 beers were entered at this year’s festival, representing roughly 700 breweries from around the country.

Boundary Bay was one of two other Washington breweries (the others being American Brewing and Elysian Brewing) to receive a medal in 2013.

This win marks Boundary's 14th medal at this festival. Old Bounder was awarded the bronze in 1998, a silver in 2002 and another silver in 2004.
