BELLINGHAM - The first of three public meetings on the master plan for the proposed Cornwall Beach Park is Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The meeting is 7 to 8:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers at Bellingham City Hall, 210 Lottie St.
Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the event to get ideas from the public and to give information about the site.
The project is a priority for public access to the waterfront, and to help meet objectives of the 2008 Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan to provide additional central waterfront parks and trails, according to the Parks Department.
About $100,000 in park impact fees will pay for the design of the master plan.
It is being coordinated with the proposed over-water walkway from Cornwall Beach to Boulevard Park.
