Puget Sound Fly Co. is offering a beginning fly-tying class that will run for four weeks in November.

With the shortening days, this is the time to start restocking your fly boxes. If you have wanted to learn how to tie your own flies or are a novice looking to improve your technique, this class is for you. Instructors will go over tools and their functions, materials used in fly tying and cover the major insect groups on which fish feed.

The classes will be held 6-8 p.m. Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25. All the tying materials will be supplied, but it is recommended that participants bring their own tools including a vise, bobbin and scissors.

The cost is $85. For more information or to sign up, contact the shop at 253-472-2420 or stop by at 6001 Tacoma Mall Blvd., Suite B2, Tacoma.
