Mindnich scores twice as Sehome blanks Blaine 3-0


The Sehome girls' soccer team defeated Blaine 3-0 on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Blaine High School.

Stefanie Mindnich scored the Mariners' first goal in the second minute, and Abby Webster lifted Sehome to a 2-0 lead 12 minutes later. Mindnich scored the final goal of the game in the 37th minute right before halftime.

"It was a really well-played match," Blaine coach Kelly Tuski said in a phone interview. "I felt like both teams brought their A game. Sehome just happened to put in some pretty good goals."

Tuski praised her team for their second-half performance where it didn't allow a single goal.

"We just decided to keep doing what we were doing," Tuski said.
