Bellingham girls' soccer shows prolific offense against Sedro-Woolley

Kendra Steele had two goals and three assists for Bellingham girls' soccer as the Red Raiders defeated Sedro-Woolley 8-0 on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Civic Stadium. Brooke Baker pitched in three goals for Bellingham in the victory.

"Kendra was really good tonight," Bellingham coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. "Brooke is a good finisher and Kendra played her some nice balls early in the game. This was the first time all year that we had complete control in every facet of the game."

Bellingham poured 18 shots on goal against Sedro-Woolley, as the Cubs only managed six shots. Hannah Jacobus had two saves and Chloe Campbell added four more for the Red Raiders to combine for the shutout.

Bellingham plays next at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Civic Stadium against Anacortes.
