Sehome boys' tennis keeps rolling

The Sehome boys' tennis team earned a 6-1 Northwest Conference victory at home over Burlington-Edison on Monday, Oct. 7.

At No. 1 singles, Sehome's Brady Anderson cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory and the Mariners also had singles wins from Max Shmotolohka, Reece Gilbert and Charlie Lahud-Zahner.

In doubles, the Mariners (11-0, 9-0) had wins from the teams of Jeremy Delisle/John Vaughan and Henry Han/Devin Trube, but Sehome coach Bonna Giller agreed that the match of the day was the back and forth affair at No. 1 doubles.

Sehome's Aaron Goldfogle and Sam Humphreys lost to Noah Sayer and Jake Kamps 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 in a match that had the two Mariners playing together for the first time.

"It was a good match. Anyone could have won that third set," Giller said in a phone interview. "I'm mixing some people around to play some different combinations with the end of the regular season coming soon."
