30th annual RV show kicks off fall season

The fall RV show season kicks off Thursday with the Tacoma Fall RV Show.

The 30th annual event will run through Oct. 13 and will feature RVs from 14 area dealers, including luxury and entry-level models.

The show also will include 2013 closeouts and previews of 2014 motor homes, fifth-wheels, toy haulers and travel trailers.

Among the RVs on display will be luxury motor homes with full-size refrigerators and tiled floors, fifth-wheel trailers with electric awnings and sofa beds, and travel trailers with air conditioning and outdoor stoves.

There also will be parts and accessory vendors, as well as booths offering information on RV resort destinations.

Among the dealers scheduled to be at the show are:

Baydo’s RV Center of Fife: It will feature the new Heartland Big Country Pearl Edition fifth-wheel. The Pearl Edition features include pearl high-gloss sidewalls, a hydraulic slide system, hydraulic front jacks, a wireless remote control system with key fob, solid surface countertops and a porcelain toilet.

Clear Creek RV Center of Silverdale: The dealer will have 15 units in its display from manufacturers such as Open Range (Mesa Ridge and Light models), CrossRoads (Cruiser and Sunset Trails) and Keystone (Alpine and Avalanche).

The Keystone Alpine fifth-wheel comes standard with a heat pump and has quadruple slide-outs, cherry hardwood cabinets, solid surface countertops, a translucent glass shower door and enclosure, and king bed.

Poulsbo RV of Kent: It will bring 23 RVs to the show, including fifth-wheels, travel trailers, camper vans and motorhomes. One of the highlights will be the Forest River Georgetown Class A gas motorhome. This RV features a full-size refrigerator/freezer and an L-shaped lounge area with a 42-inch television.

Valley RV Supercenter of Kent: This dealer will showcase the Jayco Jay Flight, the top-selling travel trailer in the country. The Jay Flight comes with spacious slideouts, well-designed living areas and a long list of family-friendly features.

Hours: Thursday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Oct. 13, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Admission: $12, free for children 16 and younger. $2 off discount coupon available online.

Parking: Parking is free each day in Tacoma Dome parking lots.
