Volunteer drivers needed to help Whatcom County veterans

Volunteers are needed to drive low-income Whatcom County veterans to the doctor's office, grocery store and other essential trips.

Organized by the Volunteer Chore Program, the service helps veterans get to important appointments.

Volunteer drivers must be at least 18 years old and provide transportation. Mileage reimbursement will be available.

To volunteer, contact Aly Horry at 360-734-3055. He is the director of the Volunteer Chore Program.
