Bellingham police seek help identifying man found dead in Franklin Park


BELLINGHAM - Bellingham police are seeking help from the public in identifying a man found dead in Franklin Park on Saturday morning, Oct. 5, according to a city of Bellingham press release.

A neighbor found the man lying in the middle of the park around 7:30 a.m. Saturday. He was checked by medics and confirmed dead. He carried no identification or cell phone.

The man was well dressed, neat and clean shaven. He is a white male with green eyes, 20 to 30 years old and 5-foot-10, with a medium to slim build and short light brown or blond curly hair with sideburns.

He was wearing a black Columbia brand fleece jacket, a tan/black striped long-sleeved thermal shirt, gray jeans, black Reebok boxers, and black low-rise Converse sneakers.

The cause of death was unknown. An autopsy will be performed next week. Anyone with information should call the Bellingham Police Department at 360-676-6911.
