Jones rushes for three TDs as Meridian tops Friday Harbor

The Meridian football team defeated Friday Harbor 32-0 on Friday, Oct. 4, at Friday Harbor in a Northwest Conference Class 1A matchup.

The Trojans got out to a quick 6-0 lead, taking that score into the second quarter. Letrez Jones added a rushing touchdown, but Meridian failed another point-after attempt to hold a 12-0 lead, which it took into halftime.

Jones scored his second touchdown of the game at the onset of the third quarter to put the Trojans well ahead of Friday Harbor, 18-0. The strong night continued for Jones as he scored his third rushing touchdown of the night, adding the PAT to take a 25-0 lead.

Bryce Garcia rounded out the scoring night for Meridian with a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Trojans (3-2, NWC 1-0) hosts Nooksack Valley on Friday, Oct. 11.
