Sehome boys' tennis edges Squalicum

The Sehome boys' tennis team swept the singles matches en route to a 4-3 Northwest Conference victory over Squalicum at Squalicum High School.

At No. 1 singles, Sehome's Brady Anderson earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Avery Wolfe and the Mariners also had singles wins from Max Shmotolohka, Reece Gilbert and Sam Humphreys.

The Squalicum No. 1 doubles team of Carter Nicholson and Tyler Hoback earned a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Aaron Goldfogle and Jeremy Delisle, and the Storm doubles teams of Neal Crawford-Nesta Isakovic and Cole Herdman-Luke Reinschmidt also earned victories.

"I was pleased with our doubles play today. The guys played really well," Squalicum coach Joe O'Brien said in a phone interview. "The match of the day was the Humphreys-Smiley match." Humphreys defeated Kevin Smiley 3-6, 7-5, 6-4.
