The Ferndale boys' tennis team defeated Anacortes 4-3 on Friday, Oct. 4, at Anacortes.
The Golden Eagles' singles players captured three of their four wins, which were all straight-set victories.
"The singles carried the day," Ferndale coach Rudy Vendiola said in a phone interview. "As a team, this is the best performance they have had all year."
Evan Chapin and Tate Freeman recorded a strong, straight-set win while only losing two total games.
"They had a strong game, as well as probably their best performance," Vendiola said.
