Burlington-Edison volleyball defeated Lynden Christian 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Lynden Christian. The Lyncs were led by Kara Bajema's 12 kills and nine digs in the loss.
"Even though we lost 3-0, it was a really close match," Lynden Christian coach Kim Grycel said in a phone interview. "At times my girls played the best they've played all season."
Madison Weg added 12 assists, eight kills and seven digs, and Emily Veening had 13 digs for Lynden Chrisitian.
"Burlington-Edison is a really strong team. They don't make many errors, so when we made an error they made us pay for it," Grycel said.
Lynden Christian's next match is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Anacortes.
