Lynden wins in straight sets over Anacortes

The Lynden volleyball team defeated Anacortes 29-27, 25-17, 25-20 on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Lynden.

"It's our first win of the season, and it really feels good," Lynden coach Julie Clift said in a phone interview. "The girls have been working hard ... nice getting over the hump."

Kat Webb led the Lions with 21 kills and 14 digs. Kaitlyn Mark added 31 assists for Lynden.

"Kat played really well," Clift said. "She had a great hitting percentage. ... In the past, she struggled making some mistakes, and the same thing happened (tonight) and she was able to overcome that, and that was huge for her."
