Sehome scores two late goals to top Ferndale 2-1

The Sehome girls' soccer team defeated Ferndale 2-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Ferndale.

Christiana Salinas scored the Golden Eagles' only goal in the 14th minute off a feed from Kylie Larmer. Kate Peterson scored what proved to be the game-winning goal for the Mariners a minute later.

"We just ran out of gas," Ferndale coach Joe Gonzalez said in a phone interview. "Sehome came out strong, and we didn't finish the game like we started. ... We played well up until the last 15 minutes of the game."
