Supports labeling for food products

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDSeptember 30, 2013

I cannot believe that people would be opposed to knowing what is contained in the products that they eat. There is nothing better than an intelligent and informed consumer. Many times over the course of a year, I look at the ingredients in the products that I consume, and I, for one, often decline to use a product because of the ingredients contained therein.

It should be my decision whether or not to purchase and consume a product that is genetically modified. I am certain that once I have the information, I would use many products that are so modified, but on the other hand, I might not.

Do not take away my right to be informed, as the more information that I have on any subject, the better able I am to make an informed decision.

There should be a yes vote on I-522.
