Overman leads Sehome boy's cross country in Montana

Sehome boys' cross country ran in the Mountain West Classic on Saturday, Sept. 28, at University of Montana Golf Course in Missoula, Mont. Glacier from Montana won the meet with 173 points and Aidin Reed from Helena won the three-mile race in a time of 15 minutes, six seconds.

Sehome placed 12th with 351 points. The Mariners were led by Kirby Overman's time of 15:50. His teammate Riley Allsop was second on the team at 16:29, followed closely by Noah Ringler's time of 16:30.

"Our guys ran tough, we had a big race Wendesday, so I think they might have been a little tired still," Sehome coach Kevin Ryan said in a phone interview. "There were more than 400 runners in the race and our middle pack kind of got buried, but they continued to work."

Ben Stalheim was fourth for the Mariners in a time of 16:36, followed by Colton Johnsen at 17:08. Alex Schnieder rounded out the team in 17:18.

Sehome's next meet is at 3:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, at Cedarcrest for the Twilight Invite.
