The Lynden volleyball team fell to Burlington-Edison 25-17, 25-12, 25-16 on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Burlington-Edison.

"Obviously, Burlington runs like a well-oiled machine," Lynden coach Julie Clift said in a phone interview. "I was extremely proud of how they played tonight. ... I would go so far as to say they played as well as I have seen them this season."

Alexa Shindruk had 21 digs, while Kat Webb had eight kills and 17 digs.

"Kat played a good, all around match," Clift said.

Clift also said Jenna Bonsen, one of the Lions' defensive specialists, gave them a big lift despite the loss.
